Introduction
AgilePM is the UK’s fastest growing project management methodology!

This APMG authorised course addresses the foundation level needs for project team members who are working in project-focused environments which require the efficiencies of Agile.

Based on the long-standing DSDM Atern (Dynamic Systems Development Method), Agile Project Management provides organisations with standards, rigour and visibility while enabling the Solution Development Team to make the best use of their knowledge and skills.

 

Audience
This course is suitable for project managers, team members and managers from any discipline. A detailed understanding of Agile Project Management is beneficial for everyone involved in Agile projects at any level.

Attendees are often preparing for the Agile Project Management Foundation Certificate and the Foundation Examination is sat during the course. Success at Foundation level is a prerequisite for sitting the Practitioner Examination.

 

At Course Completion
After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Agile Project Management’s Philosophy
  • The Eight Principles
  • Managing an Agile project
  • Difference of management style compared to ‘traditional’ projects
  • Integration with PRINCE2®
  • Demonstrate their status by earning the Foundation certificate (dependent upon examination results)

 

Prerequisites
Before attending this course, students should ideally have:

  • No prior experience is necessary as the pre-reading and training provide a solid foundation in the subject area
  • Previous experience of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2® is useful where the delegate may be in an environment utilising both ‘traditional’ and Agile methods

  • Comprehensive APMG Accredited Courseware
  • Pre-reading Guidance
  • AgilePM Foundation Examination included

 

Course Outline
The course is built around the latest APM Group syllabus and features an interesting case study to illustrate the Agile Project Management methodology and to help with understanding of its concepts and application.

The course is delivered by our expert trainer and incorporates highly effective interactive classroom techniques to ensure that the concepts and skills are acquired and retained.

The AgilePM Foundation Examination is completed during the three day course.

The course is built around the latest APM Group syllabus and features an interesting case study to illustrate the Agile Project Management methodology and to help with understanding of its concepts and application. Delegates will need to spend approximately five hours studying in order to be fully prepared for the course.

The course is delivered by our expert trainer and incorporates highly effective interactive classroom techniques to ensure that the concepts and skills are acquired and retained. Over the three days the foundation level topics are introduced, discussed, practised and applied to appropriate scenarios.

The Foundation Examination is sat on the third day of the course.
