Thornberry offers Judging opportunities for Dog Show Sponsors!

Thornberry Animal Sanctuary are back in Millhouses Park this September for their 9th annual Pooches in the Park event!

Sunday 13th September will see a whole host of stalls from local businesses, food and drink, and the main event- the Dog Show! People and pooches travel for miles to be in with a chance of winning Golden Oldie, Waggiest Tail, or the prestigious Best in Show! With 27 classes, there’s a chance for everyone to get involved and potentially take home a rosette of their own.

To help the charity put on this fantastic community event, sponsorships are available for each of the classes. Sponsorship helps cover the cost of the rosettes, as well as showcasing your businesses logo in the ring. But, that’s not all. Each sponsor will be given the chance to step into the ring, and take on the near impossible job of judging which pooch struts away as the top dog (and 2nd, and 3rd…all the way to 6th!).

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be an expert. A mix of people from all walks of life and more importantly, different opinions on dogs, means really anyone could win! Or, if you’d rather hand over the responsibility to a family member or friend, you can nominate someone to judge in your place.

Not only will you be getting a once in a lifetime opportunity (or once a year, if you enjoy it!), but you’ll be supporting a great cause.

Thornberry Animal Sanctuary are one of South  Yorkshire’s largest animal rehoming charities, finding loving new homes for over 1300 animals last year. This years event is raising money for a new Kennel block, meaning frightened and confused dogs and puppies, have quiet, comfortable spaces to decompress when they arrive.
