Celebrity football match the perfect treat for Dad
A celebrity football match featuring stars from Emmerdale and Hollyoaks is set to raise thousands for children’s charity Hallam FM Cash for Kids on Father’s Day.
The football match is part of a family fun day event held at the Jubilee Sports Club on Clay Wheels Lane in Sheffield with activities for all the family helping to raise funds to help sick and disadvantaged children across South Yorkshire.
The event on Sunday June 16 will see Cash for Kids FC vs Supporting Charities Football Club, who are expected to line up with Hollyoaks’ David Kennedy, who plays Dirk Savage in the Cheshire soap and Emmerdale’s Sam Hooton, who has played Sam Dingle since 1995. Actor and stuntman Stephen Burke and talent judge and singer Ash Stevenson are also expected to feature with more names to be announced in the coming weeks.
Cash for Kids charity manager Allan Ogle, who is organising the event, said: “I’m so grateful to SCFC and the celebrities who are donating their time to take part in this match to help raise valuable funds for Cash for Kids.
“We’ve been overwhelmed with the response as this provides a fantastic alternative to treating all the Dad’s out there to something a little different this Father’s Day, not to mention the opportunity for a continued football celebration if England win the Nations League the week before!”
Gates open at 11.30am with the match kicking off at 1.30pm. Tickets are £5 each or £15 for a VIP ticket which includes a gift bag and a free drink at the bar. Tickets are on sale now by visiting https://cfk.org.uk/footy or via the events page on Hallam FM Cash for Kids Facebook page.
