Course Overview

This one day course gives a basic understanding of some essential first aid situations that may arise within the workplace and will enable individuals to recognise and treat some major injuries.

It focussed on scenarios that both professionals and family members could face at any time and everyone who completes the course will walk away with the knowledge and skills to allow them to administer prompt, safe and effective first aid in emergency situations.

This course is suitable for staff who are acting as appointed persons at their workplace.

Assessment and Requalification:

The assessment is made up of oral questioning, practical elements, observations and a theory assessment containing multiple choice questions. The qualification is valid for 3 years at which point a requalification must take place.
