SUMMARY:Barnsley Net Zero - Business engagement event (online)
DESCRIPTION:BOOK YOUR PLACE BY CLICKING HERE \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us to discuss & have your say on what Barnsley’s ambition to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2045 means for Barnsley’s businesses. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event \n\n\nBarnsley Council has been doing some detailed work to understand what needs to happen for the borough to reach net zero by 2045. This online event is an opportunity for the business sector within Barnsley to have their say. \nThe transition to net zero will demand shifts in how business is conducted right across Barnsley. The event will start by looking at the evidence for the changes we need to see in relation to transport\, waste\, buildings\, and energy generation. \nMost importantly though\, this event is designed to find out what the business sector within Barnsley think about these changes. How will they affect you? What do you think are the key benefits and opportunities of a low carbon Barnsley? Which parts of the business sector in Barnsley might be disadvantaged\, or need special attention as these changes happen? What jobs might be at risk\, and how might we support those affected to retrain and reskill? \nWe will also hear from Barnsley’s Business Village about what they are doing around sustainability and their new net zero support programme for businesses. \nThis event is the last in a series held with local stakeholders across Barnsley. The results of all the conversations will form part of a final report in early 2022. \n  \n\nBOOK YOUR PLACE BY CLICKING HERE \n\n
