This course is suitable for both electrical and non-electrical persons \nCourse Aims\nThe aim of this course is to introduce the role of Duty Holders under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and what this means to the individual. \nLearning Outcomes\nAt the end of the electrical duty holder training course you should be able to: \n\nIdentify the basic principles of electrical safety and how they are achieved\nDiscuss the key areas of legislation\, who enforces them and what guidance is available\nIdentify who is a Duty Holder\nEstablish ways of keeping electrical systems safe through maintenance\nEstablish ways of keeping electrical systems safe through safe systems of work\nMaintain safe electrical systems through use of competent persons and the need for correct design\n\nCourse Content\n\nCompetence and Authorisations\nContractors and Maintenance\nElectrical Safety and Regulations\nElectricity Risks\nHealth and Safety\nSanctions and Permits\n\nDelegates attending the course must be 18 years of age or older.
