He was also a Government Whip\, Lord Commissioner of HM Treasury\, from January 2018 to April 2019\, and served as an Assistant Government Whip from June 2017 to January 2018. \nRobin Lapish\, Supply Chain Manager at HS2 Ltd \n \nRobin is responsible for delivering market and supply chain stakeholder engagement across the HS2 project\, with a specific focus on leading supply chain management for the HS2 Rolling Stock and Railway Systems Programmes. He engages with a wide range of stakeholders to communicate HS2 Ltd’s requirements\, build relationships and ensure suppliers remain informed\, engaged\, and ready to compete for contracts. \nPreviously\, Robin worked in various supply chain\, procurement and commercial roles at Transport for London and Crossrail.  He is also National Co-Chair of G4C (Generation for Change)\, the young professional network of Constructing Excellence which champions the change agenda in construction. \nAt the event\, Robin will provide the audience with an overview of HS2\, an update on its procurement programme\, will explain what HS2 is looking for from its supply chain and how suppliers of all sizes can get ready to be part of Europe’s largest infrastructure project.

DESCRIPTION:The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Department for Environment\, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) will be hosting two\, virtual one-day stakeholder events covering actions businesses need to take when the UK Transition ends and how the new GB regulatory regime for chemicals may impact their work. \nSave the dates – the first event will be online Wednesday 16 December 2020\, followed by the second event\, Wednesday 20 January 2021. \nThe virtual events will include: \n\nsessions led by HSE on the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR)\, Classification\, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) and Prior Informed Consent (PIC) regimes\nsessions led by HSE and Defra on Plant Protection Products (PPP) and Registration\, Evaluation\, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals (REACH)\n\nThe events will be centred around business readiness\, ensuring attendees are well informed of the duties and obligations they need to comply with to access the GB market after the transition period ends. The sessions will be interactive including a Q and A function. \nIn order to extend the invite to as many organisations as possible\, we will limit registration to a maximum of two representatives from each organsisation at each event.\nIn the event that there are places still available\, we will do our best to accommodate additional attendee requests. Please submit requests for additional places by email to hse-chemicals-brexit@glasgows.co.uk\nThe virtual event will open from 10:00am to ensure attendees have sufficient time to join the platform. Alex started his career at the Bank in 1998 and has worked in a number of analytical areas prior to joining the network\, including roles in Monetary Analysis\, Markets and Statistics. \nUnusually Alex has been inducted into the Bank twice during his career\, once as a school leaver following his A-levels and then again in 2002 as a graduate upon the completion of a Bank sponsored BA in Economics. \nOutside of work Alex has a keen passion for travel and is always planning some sort of future adventure. His hobbies include: gym\, cycling\, skiing and generally being outdoors. To get to grips with his current role\, Alex undertook the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge during the summer of 2020. For an inexperienced walker he managed it in 9 hours.

SUMMARY:REGULATING CHEMICALS AFTER THE UK TRANSITION PERIOD
DESCRIPTION:The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Department for Environment\, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) will be hosting two\, virtual one-day stakeholder events covering actions businesses need to take when the UK Transition ends and how the new GB regulatory regime for chemicals may impact their work. \nSave the dates – the first event will be online Wednesday 16 December 2020\, followed by the second event\, Wednesday 20 January 2021. \nThe virtual events will include: \n\nsessions led by HSE on the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR)\, Classification\, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) and Prior Informed Consent (PIC) regimes\nsessions led by HSE and Defra on Plant Protection Products (PPP) and Registration\, Evaluation\, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals (REACH)\n\nThe events will be centred around business readiness\, ensuring attendees are well informed of the duties and obligations they need to comply with to access the GB market after the transition period ends. The sessions will be interactive including a Q and A function. \nIn order to extend the invite to as many organisations as possible\, we will limit registration to a maximum of two representatives from each organsisation at each event.\nIn the event that there are places still available\, we will do our best to accommodate additional attendee requests.
