SUMMARY:Brexit – How Ready are you\, really?
DESCRIPTION:Brexit – after years of debate\, a referendum and a General Election\, we’re on the last 3 months of the Transition Period and our separation from the EU as a member state. \nCome 1st January 2021\, we will be trading with the EU as a ‘Third’ country\, regardless of whether we have a Free Trade agreement in place or not.  With this new status will come increased compliance responsibilities & paperwork for businesses.  Indeed\, if the government does negotiate a Free Trade Deal\, that won’t mean less compliance and paperwork responsibilities but more. \nSo how ready is your business really?  Lots of companies have understandably been waiting for more certainty before they invest in contingency planning\, new procedures or training.  We now have the certainty:  we know what the two models are for 1st January 2021. \nNow is the time to understand whether you are ready or not.  Your aim must be to minimise avoidable disruption to your business. \nHow will this webinar help with that? \nWe will go through the key issues that will have a direct impact on how you do business with your EU customers and suppliers – effectively\, those issues that will require a change in your administrative  procedures or paperwork\,  or have the propensity to cause delays or add costs. \nPresented as a checklist with background on each issue\, the webinar is designed so you can check your own in-house procedures and modify or introduce new procedures in time for the changeover. \nIssues addressed include: \n\nH S Tariff Codes\nCustoms Entries\nDuty charges\nIncoterms\nCustoms procedures\nLogistics\nFree Trade agreement due diligence\nThe Northern Ireland question\n\n  \nBarnsley business rate payers may be able to access a free place on this webinar (one delegate per course\, per company) and should contact us before booking to clarify eligibility. Any companies that book on for free outside of the Barnsley area will be invoiced.

Therefore\, ensuring businesses actively manage and optimise their energy profile is more important than ever. Businesses can achieve this by minimising electrical consumption and maximising local generation. What’s more\, this can be achieved with no capital expenditure required\, and with a cash-positive position from the outset. \nImplementing proven smart energy technologies\, such as Powerstar’s voltage optimisation solutions\, helps future-proof businesses by minimising overhead costs. This is particularly important when output may be reduced and profit margins shrinking due to the global pandemic. \nThrough utilising intelligent funding options\, Powerstar will discuss how businesses can continue to move towards net-zero carbon\, as well as government grants\, new approaches to securing tax breaks on investments\, and low-interest (on balance sheet) funding. Understanding how energy reduction technologies can be funded as generation schemes\, such as Solar PV\, is also important in enabling businesses to buy zero-carbon electricity at a cheaper rate\, whilst integrating additional technologies to decrease consumption and improve resilience. \nDuring such a crucial time\, Powerstar can offer customers bespoke\, flexible\, low interest funding options for its technologies to maintain a cash-positive position throughout\, meaning you get to keep your capital for core business operations whilst still benefitting from increased energy efficiency measures. Coupled with energy efficiency grants that are available\, such as the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund for manufacturers and data centres in England\, Wales\, and Northern Ireland\, companies can implement these solutions with a stronger financial return than ever before. \nIf\, like many other businesses\, you are looking to reduce costs and become more energy efficient without significant capital investment\, register for this free webinar today to find the best approach for your organisation\, alongside how Powerstar can provide energy industry insights to support your business in emerging from COVID-19 with a leaner cost base and improved environmental performance. \n  \nBook your place on this free webinar by visiting here

SUMMARY:Harnessing the power of CSR will transform your business’ future
DESCRIPTION:Our online information and support sessions comprise of 20 minute presentation from an expert speaker followed by an interactive Q&A where you will be able to ask questions directly either via your camera or the chat box option. \nThis is a joint Sheffield City Region event with Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce and Sheffield Chamber of Commerce. \nThis webinar will be presented by Philip Webb Founder of Investors in Community: \nSome call it CSR\, others call it Giving back\, or Responsible business. This is a message for businesses of all sizes\, as it impacts everyone. \nMyth #1 This will cost us time and money – NOT SO. Properly done a CSR strategy drives productivity and profit\, it enhances your brand\, promotes increased sales through tenders and proposals\, delivers staff engagement and retention\, promotes your business and its values at every turn\, and makes your business more sustainable. \nMyth #2 We do this already\, so that box is covered – NOT SO – as external verification of your CSR work is needed\, for both sales and tenders\, but also for CSR Accreditations and\, in the future\, for your annual reporting via accounts submissions. \nThis is a serious subject for any business leader. To harness the power of CSR within your business will transform its future\, and project your business brand far beyond that of traditional means. \nThis is one of the best hours you will spend\, as we emerge from pandemic\, and view the changed world – will you have the knowledge to harness the drivers\, or will you just run alongside for a while?
