Marquee and gazebo manufacturer Gala Tent, based in the Dearne Valley near Rotherham. has solved a problem for a luxury kennel business in Cheshire, to ensure that the dogs can still enjoy the outdoors, without being affected by the excessively hot weather that we have experienced recently.

Rebeckah Vaughan, former Big Brother contestant and owner of ‘No More Kennels’ kennelling service based in Warrington, approached Gala Tent when the warm weather started as she wanted to be able to provide shade and a cool space for the dogs which were staying with her to play and run around in the garden. This touched the hearts of Gala Tent Managing Director Mark Thompson and Director Lisa Mace, who are both passionate dog lovers.

Lisa Mace said: “Rebeckah came to us after hearing about the quality of Gala Tent products. She had tried other brands in the past and the marquees had broken or blown away and were simply not good enough quality to reflect the service that No More Kennels offers. Her idea of a luxury pet hotel is fantastic and we were really pleased to be able to support Rebeckah and provide a long-term solution to the problem.”

Lisa adds: “It just goes to show how versatile our marquees and gazebos are and this summer particularly, because of the good weather, Royal Wedding and World Cup, we have had a bumper year for garden marquees! There’s also a real trend towards people holding birthday parties and celebrations at home.”

No More Kennels is now the proud owner of two 3m x 3m Gala Tent marquees for the dog hotel’s guests to enjoy.

Rebeckah Vaughan, owner of No More Kennels, said: “Gala Tent has saved the day and we’d like to thank the company for all its help and support! The dogs have really made the marquees their own and, along with the other steps we have taken to ensure their safety and comfort during the heatwave, such as purchasing air conditioning units, paddling pools and cooling vests, we’re happy that we’re providing our pups with the best possible experience.”

Gala Tent also supported No More Kennels by providing a fully branded marquee as a hydration station at the Woof festival, a dog show for Frenchie, Pug, Boston, Terrier and English Bulldogs held recently in Sutton Fields in Frodsham.

“The fully branded marquee really got our brand across at the festival! It was a great place where dogs could get hydrated and enjoy a bit of shade, before going out to compete again – thank you Gala Tent!” said Rebeckah Vaughan.

Gala Tent offers a wide variety of marquees and gazebos to suit both large and more compact garden and patio areas. All products are quick and simple to erect and are designed to withstand the worst of the British weather, with selected products tested to withstand up to 80 mph winds.

Founded in 1999, Gala Tent has grown to sell over 10,000 tents and marquees each year, along with around 90,000 event accessories and furniture products in the UK.

In the UK, Gala Tent is a preferred supplier for organisations including the military, NHS, the South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, South Yorkshire Police Service, St John’s Ambulance and AA, as well as to thousands of homeowners nationally.
