DESCRIPTION:It is our pleasure to invite you to our event taking place at Riverside House on the 28thJune. The event will run from 10am until 12pm. \nOur aim is to increase the opportunities available to people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism in Rotherham and surrounding areas. \nWe support these people by offering them Supported Internships and Supported Employment with local employers. Currently we have young people on Supported Internships with employers such Gullivers Valley\, Mediquip and RMBC. \nOur Supported Employment services has to date helped 36 people gain employment with companies such as Acorn\, Places leisure\, and Sheffield Wednesday. \n\n\nSupported Employment – Acorn Industrial Services – YouTube\n\n\nThe event will start with an overview of what Supported Internships and Employment is\, how it works and what the support looks like. Employment is for Everyone will be conducting a short workshop to demonstrate some of this support and where you as an organisation can access free training and support. \nWe will then hear from employers about the benefits of taking part in Supported Internships / Employment\, working with the Rotherham Employment Solutions team and how this helps your business and the wider Rotherham community as a whole. \nCafé space will remain open until 13:00 to allow for networking. \nEvent Schedule \n\n09:45 – 10:00 – Arrivals with refreshments\n10:00 – 10:15 – Welcome and background of the event\n10:15 – 11:00 – Guest Speakers from local employers working with neurodiverse individuals and the individuals themselves\n11:00 – 11:15 – Refreshments Break\n11:15 – 12:00 – “Employment is for Everyone” employing neurodiverse people\, what you need to know.\n12:00 – 12:45 – Networking opportunity\n\nPlease use the booking form below or scan the QR code via the flyer. \n\n\nhttps://forms.office.com/e/r5ra3fSkQG\n\n\n
