DESCRIPTION:Business Meets VCS (9.30am-11.30am) brings together Rotherham based businesses and charities to come together in one space to make connections. We offer VCS groups the opportunity to hold a stall to promote their organisation’s work and discuss any key projects or areas of support that could be provided from the business sector. \nThis year we are also dedicating the last hour to exploring the role of trustees. \nIs Trustee for me? (11:30am – 12:30pm) is perfect for anyone who is thinking about becoming a trustee\, and any local organisations currently looking for trustees in Rotherham. \nAre you looking at giving something back to the local community\, utilising your skills\, experience and knowledge? \nAre you looking at giving something back to the local community\, utilising your skills\, experience and knowledge? \nMaybe you’ve been thinking about gaining experience in a more strategic role for a while\, but wondering how you could do this without a big time commitment? Or you could be a business professional\, with a lot of experience to offer? \nMaybe you’re looking to develop your leadership skills and/or to gain experience for a future promotion? \nWhatever your motivations\, we would like to invite you to join us to chat informally to local charities who can tell you more about their trustee board and who they’re looking for. \nTrustee boards are made up of local people\, real people who form part of a trustee team who make decisions about how organisations operate. A good trustee board is made up of diverse range of people from all sections of the community. No specific qualifications are required. Please come along to find out more! \nLight refreshments will be served. Please note spaces are limited to two places per organisation!
