Gok Wan’s Headwear Designer from Barnsley launches a Ready to Wear Collection.

Bespoke headwear designer, Sherry Richardson from Barnsley, was discovered by Gok Wan and went on to provide the headwear for his catwalk shows.

Sherry found millinery later in life, after jointly running a farm for many years. 

She said,

“I always knew I was a creative person at heart and when I saw the course to learn through traditional skills advertised, I knew it was my opportunity to change my working life into something I would be passionate about.”

Taking inspiration from nature for her designs, Sherry specialises in bespoke headwear for brides, mothers of, ladies attending Royal Garden Parties, and racegoers.

However, bespoke headwear takes time to create, and Sherry is increasingly being asked if she can produce something quickly.

And so, in answer, she has launched a ready to wear collection.

Shelia B, a recent customer told us “I just want to say how happy I was to have bought a ready-to-wear hat from Sherry for my son’s wedding. It was so different and therefore very special. Everyone commented how lovely and unique your design was. Thank you.”
