Active Fusion Launches 2025 Christmas Big Give Appeal – Calling on Local Businesses to Double Their Impact for Young People

This Christmas, Active Fusion is proud to be part of the Christmas Big Give 2025, the UK’s largest match-funding campaign, to raise essential funds for its transformational Fusion Streets Programme. Running from 2nd–9th December, the campaign will double every donation made, giving businesses across the region a unique opportunity to maximise their impact.

Fusion Streets is a community-based initiative supporting young people aged 10–17 through positive sport and physical activity. The programme helps to:

• Reduce isolation and antisocial behaviour

• Improve physical and mental well-being

• Build aspiration, resilience, and leadership skills

• Develop future role models through youth social action

In an area where many young people face barriers to opportunity, Active Fusion aims to raise £40,000, with all donations during Big Give week being match-funded pound for pound.

A Christmas Call to Local Businesses

Active Fusion is inviting businesses of all sizes to get involved and help change young lives. Whether through staff engagement, customer involvement, or corporate giving, there are countless ways to support the campaign.

Businesses can take part by organising activities such as:

• Festive Fundraising Events – Christmas jumper days, raffles, quiz nights, or mince pie mornings

• Get Active Challenges – Team walks, runs, cycles, or friendly inter-business competitions

• Online Donations & Match Funding – Encouraging staff and customer giving during campaign week, with optional corporate matched donations

• Corporate Giving Instead of Gifts – Donating in place of client gifts or Christmas cards

• Coffee Mornings or Bake Sales – Simple, social, and impactful ways to raise funds

Every £1 raised by businesses will unlock another £1 in match funding — doubling the difference made for local young people.

How to Get Involved

Active Fusion welcomes conversations with businesses wishing to support the campaign. The team is on hand to provide ideas, guidance, and promotional support to help maximise fundraising.

Events and fundraising activities can take place anytime between now and 9th December 2025, with all donations submitted via the official Big Give campaign page by 12 noon on 9th December.
