We’re launching Rotherham Day because we believe this town deserves more pride, more positivity, and more people pulling in the same direction.
Rotherham is a town built on hard work, resilience, and community.
It has brilliant businesses, inspiring schools, passionate charities, sports clubs, and people who care deeply about where they’re from. Too often though, those efforts happen separately.
Rotherham Day is about bringing everyone together to celebrate what’s good, support what matters, and create something the whole town can genuinely stand behind.
On 25th February 11:00am – 1pm, we’re inviting local business owners, school leaders, charities, sports clubs, community organisations, and residents to join us at New York Stadium for an open discussion on shaping the initiative together.
The aim of this session is simple and practical.
To agree what Rotherham Day should represent, how it should work each year, which local causes it should support, and how it’s delivered in a way that genuinely benefits the town.
The vision is clear.
A day of pride, with Rotherham wearing red.
A day of celebration, showcasing local people, talent, and organisations.
A day of giving back, raising meaningful funds for local charities.
A day owned by Rotherham, shaped by the community, not by one business.
Rotherham Day will support local charities, with causes agreed collectively and reviewed each year so the impact is real, transparent, and felt where it matters most.
