Creating psychologically safer workplaces

September 10, 2021 at 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM
To discuss the role companies must play in implementing effective employee wellbeing strategies and creating psychology safer workplaces

About this event

In 2020, a report published by Deloitte estimated that poor mental health is costing UK industry in excess of £45 billion every year. At the time this was a rise of 16% compared to 2016.

The Covid pandemic has undoubtedly seen an increased awareness by companies to the fact that the mental wellbeing of their employees is no longer something to be ignored.

But are companies going far enough, what needs to change; culture, attitudes, leadership, legislation, what else?

This event will be recorded – please register to receive a link

On Thursday, September 30th at 1pm, The Jordan Legacy CIC will be holding another, in its series of #HopeForLifeUK events, aimed at improving mental wellbeing and preventing suicides – this event is specifically aimed at the wellbeing of employees and how their employer can provide them with a psychologically safer place to work in.

Further details will be announced soon but for now, topics for discussion include:

the relevance of data driven employee assessment processes

what constitutes a robust employee wellbeing strategy?

HSE workplace stress risk assessment – does legislation go far enough?

should companies introduce their own Zero Suicide plan?

the effectiveness of Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP)

what role should employees place in creating a company’s wellbeing culture?

what should companies be doing to support employees who are working remotely?

do managers need to possess more emotional intelligence (EQ) to manage employee wellbeing?

This event is free to attend, although we would greatly appreciate a donation to support our Mission. The Jordan Legacy is a Community Interest Company, a charitable organisation, which relies solely on donations and others’ support to enable us to continue our work in helping move toward a Zero Suicide society.

If you would like to support our work, please follow this link and you will find a Donate button in the orange band in the top section of our website’s Home page.
