Course Overview :

Documentation required for the export sale is more complex than for a domestic sale. This course will take you through the documentation you will be expected to provide, dependent on destination country and will explain the information that needs to appear on those documents. This course will also explain in detail why documents are necessary and why accuracy is essential. It includes details on sources of information to assist the exporter.

Content covered includes Invoicing – Certificates of Origin, EUR1s, Commodity Codes, Export Customs Declarations andLicensing – insurance certificates, AWBs, Bills of Loading and CMR notes.

 

Learning Outcome

    • Be able to understand which documents are necessary for an international shipment
    • Be able to identify where to go for sources of international information and assistance
    • Be aware of what is in a sales contract/purchase order, be aware of incoterms, packing marking and labelling requirements
    • Have an awareness of compliance issues around exporting, the UK trade tariff and its importance
    • Understand the reasons for accurate export documentation and where to get help

This course is split over 2 half days.

Session 1: 9.00am – 12.30pm
Session 2: 12.30pm – 4.30pm
