Alhambra centre to transform into ghostly wonderland for Bluebell Wood

Boys and girls are being invited to search Barnsley’s Alhambra Shopping Centre high and low for sweet treats as part of their ‘Trick or Treat’ Halloween spooktacular.

Part of the shopping centre will be transformed into a ghostly wonderland for the fun-packed event, with all proceeds going to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

As well as trick or treating around the Alhambra’s many retailers, the October 31st event will also see Winnie the Witch dazzling with her unique brand of macabre magic, fun games and eerie glitter tattoos.

Children are invited to attend in their scariest fancy dress costumes to make sure they give a fright to passing shoppers!

It follows last year’s hugely popular Monster March which saw pint-sized ghouls descend on the shopping centre, which was also in support of Bluebell Wood.

Anna Gott, Community Fundraiser at Bluebell Wood, said: “We hope everyone has a wonderfully scary time at what promises to be a fantastic event for all the family.

“Every penny raised will help support children and families across Barnsley and beyond who are going through the toughest of times.

“It costs over £4m each year to keep our doors open for local families so we’re incredibly grateful to the Alhambra for its ongoing support.”

There are four sessions running through the day at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm with each session lasting around 45 minutes.

Places, which cost £3 per child (with accompanying adults free), are limited so families are advised to book in advance to make sure they don’t miss out.
