Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards 2024 Celebrating Business Excellence in South Yorkshire 

Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the much-awaited launch of the Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards – A Celebration of Business. 

This annual event, continues to recognise the remarkable achievements and contributions of businesses and individuals across the region. Scheduled to take place on Friday, 8th November 2024 at the Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham, the Awards Ceremony promises an evening of celebration of leading Businesses from across the region.

With over 500 expected guests and delegates in attendance, the event will be a fitting stage to honour the resilience, creativity, and dedication of the Barnsley, Rotherham and South Yorkshire business community. This year, the Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards will recognise business excellence across several categories, each reflecting the diverse make-up of the region’s business community. 

From budding Apprentices who have taken their first steps into their careers with the Apprentice of the Year Award to new businesses who are going from strength to strength through the Most Promising New Business Award.

The awards will also recognise businesses that have propelled growth to new heights and spotlight inspirational business leaders who operate in our region’s most innovative businesses through the Business Person of the Year Award.

There will be recognition for workplaces which have shown a real dedication to developing their staff and workforces through the Commitment to People Development Award. Businesses who have gone above and beyond to serve their customers will be acknowledged through the Excellence in Customer Service Award.

The Business Community Impact Award will recognise local businesses and organisations that have made an impact on their local communities through the Business Community Impact Award. Through the Sustainability Award, the ceremony will acknowledge those businesses that have shown there green credentials, and the new Large Business of the Year Award will celebrate the national and global businesses that make South Yorkshire their home.

Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber will also support the winner of the Charity of the Year Award, with a £3000 prize and the title of the Chamber’s Charity of the Year. This award will go to a deserving charity which has gone above and beyond to support a local cause or community campaign.

The Chamber is delighted to announce that Barnsley College has graciously sponsored the awards this year, demonstrating its commitment to developing talent and promoting a thriving business environment in our region. Their support ensures that these awards continue to shine a spotlight on outstanding achievements and inspire future generations of entrepreneurs and business leaders.
