Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce Launches New Website

Today marks a significant milestone for Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber as the Chamber of Commerce proudly announces the launch of its new website. This digital platform is set to change the way members and businesses connect and collaborate with the Chamber and its network.

The cornerstone of the new website is its redeveloped Business Directory, designed to serve as a centralised hub for businesses to showcase their products and services, with exclusive offers available to members from other businesses. From established regional companies to new startups, every member of the Chamber will have the opportunity to amplify their online presence and reach a broader audience across South Yorkshire.

One of the most exciting features of the Business Directory is the ability for members to leave reviews for other businesses. This Member-to-Member feedback function will allow transparency, trust, and accountability within the Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber community, allowing members to advocate for other members and become the go-to source for recommended products and services from local businesses.

Carrie Sudbury, Chief Executive at Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber, said “Amplifying the voice of our members and supporting the buy local agenda is at the heart of our Chamber membership and a personal mission of mine.

“With features like the Business Directory and the Member-to-Member review function, local businesses can use this hub to find a local business and member who can help support their business or next project.

“This was a much-needed overhaul of our digital presence and I hope each of our members will utilise the fantastic functionality included with their member account”.

In addition to the Business Directory, members will have full control over their digital Chamber presence. They can add their events, ensuring that their latest workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities are prominently displayed to fellow members and the wider Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber network. Moreover, members can contribute their own news stories, sharing their successes, milestones, and industry insights with a captive audience.

Shane Young, Operations Director at Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber, said “We’re thrilled to unveil our new website, which represents a significant leap forward in our mission to support our members and promote the local businesses which make up our network”.

“With features like the Member-to-Member offers, Member-to-Member reviews, event listings, and news contributions, our website is more than just a static webpage – it’s a platform where businesses can collaborate together.”

“For start-ups and sole traders, this will allow our directory to be used as a webpage for growing businesses who have yet to start developing their website, for established businesses the

The launch of the new website underscores the Chamber’s commitment to embracing digital innovation and supporting members through multiple platforms.
