South Yorkshire Transport Museum

Charity & Voluntary

A collection of vehicles and transport related artefacts & archives. Its purpose is to advance public education by establishing and maintaining a permanent display of the above-mentioned items. A charity - with no paid staff, round 35 of 160 volunteer members actively participate in restoring historic vehicles and running the 22k+ sq. ft. Museum - which opens to the public on the 2nd Sunday of each month.

The official description is formal but in reality the Museum is actually a great place for visitors from young children to'seniors' - as there is something for everyone to look at and to learn about. Each 'open day' has a unique theme.
