Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber is offering local businesses the chance to step into the Christmas spirit with two special events taking place in December to mark the beginning of the festive period, which will be used to support local good causes throughout South Yorkshire.

One of the highlights of its social calendar, the Chamber Christmas Dinner takes place on Friday, 7th December and will see up to 150 members of the local business community come together to enjoy a fabulously festive five course meal as well as live entertainment provided by the Zenon band, a high-energy three piece band from Sheffield, whom have performed all over Europe at many celebrity parties and toured with many well-known acts such as status quo, six pence none the richer, Kate Ryan and many more.

Taking place at Shaw Lane Cricket Club, sponsored by Superfast South Yorkshire, the Chamber Christmas dinner provides an opportunity to make new business contacts, celebrate the start of the Christmas period with colleagues, as well as helping to raise money for local good causes.

The Chamber’s festivities will head to Rotherham on 11th December when members and non-members alike will be given a chance to pull on their favourite Christmas jumper and head to its Rotherham headquarters to enjoy a coffee and mince pie with members of the Chamber team. Designed to give visitors a chance to make new business connections and find out more about the Chamber’s plans for 2019, as well as finding out more about the range of services and support Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber offers to local businesses.

Both events will be used to help raise money for the Chamber President’s Charity Fund which will be distributed to the highly commended and finalist charities at the 2019 Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards.

Andrew Denniff, Chamber Chief Executive: “Christmas is an important part of the year, bringing together many of our members in a more relaxed atmosphere. Not only should we enjoy ourselves but also try and raise some important funds for our key charity partners.”
