Community Testing – Lateral Flow Tests for Critical Services
Further to the Government announcement regarding the expansion of community testing, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council are looking to support eligible Rotherham SMEs in accessing lateral flow tests through the Council facility at Riverside House cafe.
In order to understand the level of demand Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber are looking for businesses with less than 250 employees to email the following email detailing:
- How many eligible staff you have?
- Whether you could attend an external testing site at Riverside House, Rotherham? (Yes/No/partially)
- Whether you would favour a “train the trainer” approach from Rotherham Council to do something ‘in-house’ when this is permissible (Yes/No/partially)

This programme is intended to ‘test to find’ asymptomatic people who may otherwise inadvertently spread Covid-19 by effectively, and regularly testing staff upto 1 – 2 times per week.
