EE Doncaster Shows Support For Local Sports Charity

EE’s Doncaster-based office raises critical funds to support the latest appeal from local charity, Active Fusion.

Staff at EE Doncaster have raised a total of £1306.76 so far towards the 10 More Years Appeal launched by local sports charity, Active Fusion.

The EE team led a raffle and cake sale at their offices near Lakeside in Doncaster, with other fundraisers planned over the coming weeks to raise even more funds for the campaign.

Shannon Chambers, Concierge at EE Doncaster commented, “Active Fusion was brought to our community goals team by Susan Deakin, one of the Operations Managers here at EE, who is a mum of two active young boys. When we put the idea to the team, it was evident that the majority all agreed what Active Fusion do is incredible. We all feel deeply happy to be supporting our community and Doncaster’s children to live happy healthy lives and see it as one of the most rewarding and important things we can do as a team.”

10 More Years is a 10-week campaign launched by Active Fusion with the aim to raise £10,000 and reach 10,000 views of the campaign film to raise awareness of the issues faced by our most vulnerable children and young people.

With reduction in funding, time in education and lack of free provision in communities amplified by the cost-of-living crisis, this situation is exacerbated, leaving many children in situations of physical and mental ill health.

As a charity, Active Fusion use the power of sport and physical activity to lobby for change and equity for all children to be active. Their charity first mission sets out a promise to address this tsunami of inequality, with the Fusion Movement Campaign fully focused on doing exactly that.
