Customs Warehousing & Customs Freight Simplified Procedures

£25 – £35
July 23, 2019 at 1:00 PM- 4:30 PM

Are you buying from outside the EU now?

Will you be buying from the EU after the UK leaves the EU?

To continue to support businesses with buying raw materials and stock from overseas, HMRC can help importers to store goods in the UK with duty and import VAT payments suspended.

This seminar will focus on Customs Warehousing, a process which allows authorised traders to store goods with duty or import VAT payments suspended, until such time they are sold or the goods are no longer required to be stored.

Workshop content:

  • What is a Customs Warehouse?
  • Authorisation process
  • HMRC compliance and checklist – is it for my business?
  • Overview of Customs Freight Simplified Procedures (CFSP)

Who is it aimed at?
This workshop will provide significant useful knowledge to importing and exporting business owners either new or experienced, employees and any third parties who are involved in the import and export of goods and their related administrative processing. Important: this may become particularly relevant in the event of a no deal Brexit to companies that currently trade predominantly with the EU, where there are currently no tariffs on UK imports from EU member nations.

Delivered by
John Griffiths, HMRC International Trade Development Liaison Officer (ITDLO)

Barnsley business rate payers may be able to access a free place at this workshop (one delegate per workshop, per company) and should contact us before booking to clarify eligibility
