Introduction to IP and Developing an IP Strategy – Sheffield

April 5, 2023 at 5:30 PM- 7:00 PM

Intellectual Property and Developing an IP Strategy – an “IN PERSON” at the library

An understanding of intellectual property is vital for anyone who is starting a business and wishes to protect their assets – whether that be an idea, an invention, a brand name or a song. IP is also a business asset and a crucial tool in helping you grow your business and could open up new business opportunities if used as part of a business strategy.

We will briefly introduce the four areas of intellectual property Copyright, Trademarks, Patents and Registered Designs. By directing you to using the IPO’s online support tools you will be able to start to identify your assets and develop a strategy.

Please note: this workshop will take place in the library – in the Carpenter Room

There will be a short Coffee and Chat after the workshop to give you some networking opportunities
