Course Overview

 A common worry for those new to international trade is how easy it will be to get payment from their overseas customer. This course will introduce you to the terms of payment open to you, highlighting which method offers the most secure form of payment balanced against the administration involved. It will also cover credit insurance matters and currency invoicing.


The learner will be able to identify:

  • The different methods of payment used in international trade.
    • Advantages and Disadvantages of each method
  • Be able to identify and understand the necessary documentation for each method of payment.
    • Advanced payment terms
    • Letter of credit transactions
  • Be able to comply with the requirements of different methods of payment
    • Making arrangements
