Exclusive Member Tours of Amazon’s Doncaster Fulfilment Centre for Chamber members

Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce is working in partnership with Sheffield and Doncaster Chambers to launch a programme of tours in partnership with Amazon to help businesses reopen and restart the economy. Amazon, who have been operational throughout the COVID –19 lockdown, is opening the doors to assist our members with implementing government guidance to restart their operations.

We’re offering the opportunity, exclusively for our members, to tour Amazon’s Doncaster fulfilment centre. These tours will enable members to see first-hand how the business has implemented a whole range of measures to keep its employees safe while continuing to serve its customers, and will be able to apply any learning to their own action plans for reopening their workplaces.

With guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO), Amazon have implemented a series of preventative health measures at their sites to help keep employees, partners, and customers safe.

From safe staff entry in and out of work, to workplace social distance measures and managing canteens safely, they have made more than 150 significant process changes to ensure the health and safety of its team members. Each tour lasts around 30 minutes so there should definitely be something of relevance to all businesses to pick up and adopt.

These exclusive member tours will comprise two sessions per day (9.30am-10.00am and 12.30pm-1.00pm) from Thursday 11 to Thursday 25 June (weekdays only).  Places are strictly limited to keep within social distancing guidelines, with only five members allowed per visit.  If you would like to attend one of the tours, please click the link below and book yourself on to attend.
