Gulliver’s Valley theme park opens its gates to local businesses
BUSINESSES from across South Yorkshire are being given the chance to pitch their questions and showcase their hospitality and retail products to the team behind the new multi-million-pound Gulliver’s Valley theme park, set to open late spring 2020.
Gulliver’s Valley is hosting two events on Wednesday 19 February – an open forum from 11:30am – 1:30pm, to allow businesses to ask the resort team any questions or concerns they have about the park’s development in Rotherham, followed by a hospitality and retail supplier showcase event from 2:30pm – 4:30pm.
The open forum event will also give attendees a sneak preview of the theme park, as well as an insight into the Gulliver’s team’s future plans.
Julie Dalton, managing director of Gulliver’s, said: “As a family business, we’re keen to build links with the local community and to use local suppliers throughout our theme park wherever possible.
“Equally, we understand that businesses in the local area may have questions about the park’s development.
“Our open forum and supplier showcase events give the local business community the chance to put their questions to our team, find out about our exciting plans, and showcase hospitality and retail products and services to us, too.”
Gulliver’s Valley will be home to more than 50 rides and attractions including an indoor climbing centre, an indoor play area, and a Lost Jurassic World area which will be boast all kinds of dinosaurs.
The Gulliver’s Valley open forum takes place at the theme park site, adjacent to Rother Valley Country Park and accessed via Mansfield Road from 11:30am – 1:30pm, followed by the supplier showcase event, for businesses from the hospitality and retail sectors, from 2:30pm – 4:30pm.
