Harry Gration joins judging panel for the Glu Recruit Office Heroes Awards 2020

Glu Recruit, the South Yorkshire based specialist recruitment agency, has announced the judging panel for their 2020 Office Heroes Awards.

The event, set up in 2018 by MD Rob Shaw, is now in its third year. It is designed to celebrate the regions unsung office heroes – those who go above and beyond to make a real difference to their employers.

The event is open for any business within the Sheffield City Region, with the judging panel assessing each application on its own merit alongside a public vote to decide who will make the final shortlist, and who will be crowned the overall winner of the 2020 Office Heroes Awards.

Rob Shaw, Managing Director of Glu Recruit comments: “We are delighted to still be able to run our Office Heroes Awards this year. We took the decision to move the awards ceremony online this time due to the restrictions we are all finding ourselves under, but that doesn’t mean it will be any less a celebration than before, of those key individuals that make businesses in the Sheffield City Region great. This year, more than ever we should be celebrating those individuals who have stood out and helped their organisations through all the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We’re delighted to have the support of some key individuals on our judging panel who play such vital roles in the local business community themselves, along with a very familiar face from the local media in Harry Gration, who we feel very proud and honoured to have involved.

“Harry is Patron of one of our charities of the year, Paces, and is such a well know personality from his years with the Look North team. We can’t thank him, and all our judges enough for the support they are giving us this year in finding our winner.”

Harry Gration, former Look North presenter and current Patron of the Paces charity adds: “I’m thrilled to bits to join the judging panel at the Glu Recruit Office Heroes Awards! In a year where physical awards ceremonies are not possible, it’s vital that the local business community can still recognise those key individuals who have contributed so much to their organisations throughout these difficult times. This year more than ever, it’s vitally important to celebrate the unsung heroes behind every business.

“I’m really looking forward to learning more about who these people are and making my contribution towards who will be crowned this year’s Office Hero for the Sheffield City Region.”
