Headline sponsor announced for Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards

AAG IT Services agree 2019 sponsorship of the prestigious Business Awards, with Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce, which will return to Magna later this year.

This year is proving to be a milestone year for AAG IT Services. Not only has the business branched out to the capital by opening a new London office, but to celebrate its tenth anniversary, the company has teamed up with the Chamber to support one of the most prestigious events on the local business calendar.

Celebrating the achievements of all businesses with an “S” postcode, the Business Awards is one of the highlights of the annual business calendar. In 2018, the event saw more than 500 representatives of the local business community come together to support the event, which was hosted by TV and Radio broadcaster Stephanie Hirst.

The highly coveted title of ‘Business of the Year’ was presented to Wombwell-based LNS Turbo UK, whilst The Young People’s Health and Wellbeing charity Molly’s Fund was awarded the title of Charity of the Year, receiving a donation of £3,000.

This year’s awards ceremony will see 14 awards up for grabs, and the Chamber is calling upon businesses which are celebrating milestone anniversaries in 2019 through its salute to business. All businesses with an “S” postcode as well as members of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber are eligible to enter the awards, which will be open for entries on Monday, 3rd June.

Michelle Walker, Managing Director of AAG IT Services said:

“We are delighted to be sponsoring the Barnsley and Rotherham Business Awards during our tenth-year anniversary. It is always good to see so many local businesses continue to flourish, and the awards are a great opportunity for those businesses to celebrate their hard work and success. The 2018 award ceremony was a huge success and we are looking forward to being part of another fantastic evening.”

Andrew Denniff, Chief Executive, Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber added:

“I am really pleased that AAG are working with us on the Business Awards this year. We also try to make sure that each time we surpass the previous year’s event and I am sure that we will achieve that working towards October 18th”.

Amongst this year’s sponsors are AAG IT Services, AYRE Ltd, BizSpace, Enzygo Ltd, Fortem, Gibson Booth Business Solutions & Insolvency, National Fluid Power Centre, Rotherham Together Partnership, RNN Training, Shorts and XPO Logistics.
