Mattress Online Kicks Off Partnership with Lincoln City Football Club

Fast-growing retailer Mattress Online have embarked on a new partnership with Lincoln City for the 2021/22 football season, the first of its kind for the mattress and bed retailer.

Following a demanding 18 months where sales increased by nearly 200% due to customer demands during the pandemic, CEO Steve Adams said Mattress Online now have the chance to look at how they can support other organisations through sponsorships.

“We’re very much a family here at Mattress Online and that same sentiment resonates with the supporters, staff and players at Lincoln City.

“Teamwork has been the crux of our operations from day one and particularly over the last 18 months. It hasn’t been easy for lower league professional teams either during the pandemic and I’m pleased we’re able to establish this new partnership and work together.

“We were impressed by the Club’s digital capabilities and that’s one of the reasons we’ve developed this partnership.”

“Like Mattress Online, the Imps have a lot of ambition and only narrowly missed out on promotion to the Championship in the Play Off Final earlier this year.”

The partnership delivers great savings for season ticket holders who will be automatically offered a 10% discount on products across the Mattress Online website.

Mattress Online’s hattrick of next-day delivery, competitive pricing and mattress recycling have helped the business to become one of the fastest growing retailers in the UK.

Steve continued: “Seeing our branding on the perimeter boards at the LNER Stadium during the matches is going to be great, and we are really looking forward to supporting the team this season.

Andrew Whitham, Lincoln City’s Director of Commercial Affairs, said: “The Club have made huge strides in understanding the digital market and being involved with a market leader like Mattress Online is a fantastic marker for the work done in this space.

“It is great to see online retailers seeing the benefits of being involved with Lincoln City and connecting with our loyal fans.”
