Mayors Virtual Charity Fundraising Raffle
The Mayor’s Barnsley based charities, TADS and Beacon South Yorkshire has sadly seen a significant reduction in donations this past year due to the restrictions of COVID-19 and not being able to hold regular fundraising events. This is devastating for both charities, especially with the nature of the services provided being in high demand now, more than ever, to support the young people and carers of Barnsley as the devastation and fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic continues.
The Mayor is keen to do her bit by hosting a virtual fundraising raffle with all proceeds raised going to both charities.
Our recent plea for raffle prizes has been fantastic with some incredible and very generous donations being received by local businesses and members’ – so a big thank you to everyone who has donated.

Tickets are now on sale and priced at £5.00 each. The closing date is 8.00 pm on Thursday 25 February.
The raffle will be drawn on the morning of Friday 26 February with the – LG 50” TV being drawn first, followed in order of the prizes as listed above using an online number generator. This will be filmed and shared with entrants later that day.
