Mercure Sheffield Parkway Hotel Appoints New General Manager

Ruslana Yarmolyuk started her career as a school teacher, spending 10 years teaching Russian language and literature in her native Ukraine, before beginning hospitality work in the UK in 2008.

The 78-bedroom Mercure Sheffield Parkway hotel has appointed Ruslana Yarmolyuk as its new general manager.

Having worked in hospitality for over 11 years, Yarmolyuk started her career as a school teacher, spending 10 years teaching Russian language and literature in her native Ukraine, before beginning hospitality work in the UK in 2008.

With previous experience including general manager positions at Mercure Leeds Centre and Novotel Stevenage, this position is Yarmolyuk’s fifth general manager role.

Yarmolyuk said: “I am thrilled to be appointed as General Manager of the Mercure Sheffield Parkway, and look forward to maintaining and improving the existing excellent standards of this hotel.

“My goals for 2020 and beyond include improving the ranking of the hotel within the Mercure Brand in the UK; the hotel is currently second, I hope to achieve a first place ranking. Looking beyond the hotel itself, I also hope to build long-lasting local connections and to support the business community of Sheffield and Rotherham.”
