Nominations for the 2023 Office Heroes Awards are open!

It’s that time of year again when businesses across the region have the opportunity to shout about someone who goes above and beyond to make their workplace extraordinary. Don’t worry if you’re new to the event, here’s everything you need to know.

Office Heroes is a unique event that recognises and celebrates the unsung heroes of businesses in South Yorkshire.

Meeting deadlines and KPIs is an important part of any business, but this event focuses on the more human side of your business.

We’re looking for the shining stars that make those Monday mornings easier, the individuals who ooze positivity every day, and those who strive to make a difference in your workplace.

Don’t let the name fool you; we want to hear about all heroes from all departments and industries!

It could be your office administrator, finance assistant, marketing executive, IT engineer, sales manager, or warehouse operative. We’re looking for anyone who stands out and deserves to be recognised, regardless of their role.

How do I nominate?

Nominating has never been easier! Simply fill out our online nomination form here and press submit!

Alternatively, you can answer the questions on a Word document, in an email, on the back of a napkin, or whatever suits you, so long as it’s sent across to [email protected].

Once you have submitted your nomination, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Then you wait and cross your fingers!

What happens after you nominate?

Nominations close on Friday 27th of October at 3pm. After this, our panel of incredible judges from the business community will shortlist entries down to a final 10.

If shortlisted, both you and your nominee will be invited to The Cutler’s Hall, Sheffield, on Friday 8th of December.

You’ll enjoy a delicious afternoon tea, celebratory drinks, magical entertainment, and the ceremony where we’ll announce the winner and award prizes.

Our advice to you would be to make your nomination as epic as possible. The more details you include, the greater your chances of being shortlisted.

A look back at last year’s winner

Our 2022 Office Hero was Charlotte Palmer, from Clear Quality Ltd. Here’s what she had to say: “I would like to thank Glu Recruit for the lovely afternoon to celebrate everyone that had been nominated for the “Office Hero 2022” award.

“After watching the nominee videos on the day, I really didn’t expect to win as there were so many amazing people that had also been nominated.

“As I didn’t know that I had been nominated until 2 weeks before the event, it came as a huge surprise, and I never thought I would win. I would also like to thank my CEO Debbie Whitehead for nominating me and for everything she does for everyone in our company.

“When I saw my name on the screen, that I had won, I was in shock as I didn’t quite believe it. I’ve never won anything before, so it was such a great feeling! A huge thank you to everyone involved, it was a very special day!”
