Online directory of Rotherham support services has a makeover for 2020

Rotherham Gismo, the free online directory that gives you access to hundreds of services and community groups across Rotherham, has had a makeover!
Around 600 groups are currently featured on the site, which is attracting an increasing number of visits from support workers and the general public. Each organisation that registers has a page on the Gismo website that can be used to highlight their aims, activities and contact details.

The site, which is free for all users and groups, features an incredible range of services and activities covered in the main categories of (1) information and advice (2) health and wellbeing (3) community and leisure. It has a new search facility that makes it easier to find what they’re looking for. Just enter a keyword (and other optional filters) to produce a list of groups that match the criteria. You can read more about each group, then create and save your own shortlist for future use.

The directory is administrated by registered charity Voluntary Action Rotherham and Chief Executive, Shafiq Hussain, commented: “We’re delighted with this new version of Gismo and have already received excellent feedback from groups and users. It’s a great way for local people to find out more about the support and activities that are available across Rotherham.”

The new site is very user friendly and adapts easily to mobile and tablet screens. If you’re looking for some advice, or activities to help your health and wellbeing, or want to find out what’s happening in the local community why not take a look at http://www.rotherhamgismo.org.uk/and discover the fantastic work being done by so many groups in the Rotherham area.
