Pledge to support your local NHS charity in 2021

As Big Ben struck midnight on New Year’s Eve, did you make a resolution to do more for your local community? If so, the Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity needs your support this year.

We know times are tough right now, but if you’re hoping to make 2021 the best yet then we’d love to support to fundraise for your local NHS charity.

Whether you are a speedy runner, a fabulous cook, a  movie lover or keen baker – the charity is appealing for fundraisers with an entrepreneurial spirit to join in fun activities which can be done individually, with your family bubbles, from your garden or local park or virtually online.

Martin Havenhand, Chairman of the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Fundraising for the charity during lockdown in 2020 was no mean feat but supporters still pulled out all the stops to support the charity alongside their families, friends and work colleagues.

“Despite the challenges, the charity saw individuals and groups take part in some amazing challenges – from sponsored head shaves, football tournaments and dance-athons to The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust’s Clinical Coding Team’s Rotherham to Lapland virtual walk.

“We hope our 2020 Covid fundraising heroes will inspire others to support the charity in 2021. We know fundraising during lockdown is difficult but it is a great way of challenging yourself to try something new, to get fit and healthy or to bring people together virtually. Make 2021 count and do something amazing by fundraising for the charity.”

The charity raises funds to provide the extra special, added extras which really make a difference to the patients we care for in the community and at Rotherham Hospital, their families and carers.

The generous donations we receive have enabled the charity to improve patient care, facilities and to provide state-of-the-art equipment.
