Chamber Energy partner, Professional Energy Purchasing (PEP) has expanded its energy management services to give members tailored advice and support in becoming Net Zero.

The new service, which is available to all members of the Chamber, includes a free initial energy consultation. A dedicated account manager at PEP will provide tailored recommendations on potential savings, new energy efficiency technology investment, pay back periods, and advice on behavioural change.

This is designed to help companies understand how they are using energy and, in many cases, wasting it. PEP reports that businesses waste on average 20% of the energy they use, and the company has helped some clients reduce energy consumption by up to 33%.

PEP can advise on procuring green energy, implementing new policies and targets, understanding energy legislation and government policies, and implementing renewable energy sources into your own building.

Linda Spencer, MD at Professional Energy Purchasing, comments

“We are really excited to launch this new Net Zero service to members and build on the fantastic partnership we have with the Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce.

We’ve seen a big demand for support with energy and carbon reduction planning over the last year, partly driven by the increase in energy prices.  This complements our existing business energy procurement, to ensure members are getting the best prices for gas, electricity and water whilst looking at ways to reduce energy and plan for climate targets.

The new service will be delivered by Jason Martin, our specialist energy manager who has decades of experience in providing energy efficiency solutions for major brands and SMEs.  This in-house position guarantees ongoing impartial advice, and a first-class service which clients expect from us.”
