Support Dogs Needs You!

Support Dogs is a national charity based in Sheffield providing life changing specialist assistance dogs for children and adults with autism, epilepsy, and physical disabilities.

We are looking for new volunteers to look after our young puppies in training both full time and just to provide holiday cover, when our full-time volunteers need a break.

As a puppy socialiser you will play a vital role in our puppies’ formative years, caring for a puppy in your home and providing them with the socialisation and basic training they will need. This is a unique opportunity to not only care for a lovely dog but also help Support Dogs change the lives of people affected by autism, epilepsy and disability.

Being a Puppy Socialiser is flexible, on-going support and supervision is provided throughout, and you can even have an existing pet dog and still be able to apply.

We are holding monthly information sessions that are a great opportunity to find out about the role and speak to other puppy socialisers. Our next sessions are at 1pm on Friday 12th May and at 1pm on Monday 12th June.
