Trustees Wanted at Age UK Rotherham
Age UK Rotherham is an independent charity with over 30 staff members and a team of dedicated volunteers. We play a vital role in improving the lives of older people in our area and work toward making later life better for the residents of Rotherham.
We have a strong reputation for delivering the care and support that is needed, efficiently, effectively and to a high standard and at the heart of that reputation is the professionalism, hard work, skills and compassion of staff, volunteers and trustees.

We are looking for a trustee with a range of skills, including professional financial expertise to replace our retiring Finance Trustee.
We also need trustees with a wide range of other skills and experience, including leadership and senior management in the commercial or health sector, and those with legal experience.
Ideally, the successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:
- A track record of meaningful roles in the private, public or voluntary sector
- The ability to operate at Board level effectively in a significant organisation
- The ability to think creatively and strategically; the skills to challenge current thinking at Board level.
- The time commitment needed to make a difference to the charity – meeting twice quarterly, attending the annual away day and AGM as well as being a member of one or more of our Board subgroups.
