Veezu funds kit for local Under 10’s Football Club

Leading private hire firm Veezu, formerly named City Taxis, is sponsoring the Eckington Boys Football Club under 10’s boys team for their upcoming season.

Founded in 1983, Eckington Boys has a strong history of nurturing local talent and fostering a sense of unity among its 12 age groups.

The sponsorship will provide the club with essential funding to cover the expenses of a new training kit for the under 10’s boys team, with the Veezu logo appearing on the front.

Veezu is a regional brand of Veezu Group, who stepped in to donate to the local cause through their community support programme ‘Funded by Veezu’. The programme is a way in which local not-for-profit initiatives can receive grants and support.

Veezu is the new name for City Taxis across Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Derby and Chesterfield. A regional brand of the UK’s fastest-growing taxi and private hire technology platform Veezu Group, City Taxis was acquired in February 2023.
