Dibor helps students pave the way to success through the Shaping Futures Project

Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber is delighted to commend Dibor, for their outstanding contribution to the Shaping Futures project. Dibor has been working closely with local schools to provide invaluable opportunities for students, empowering them to gain a head start in their professional lives and discover the possibilities of a rewarding career.

By getting involved in the Shaping Futures project, Dibor hopes to demonstrate to students that hard work, dedication, and passion can truly pave the way to success. By offering various avenues for exploration, such as Graphic Design, Blog Writing, and Photography, Dibor ensures that students can relate to and engage with the project on a personal level.

As part of this project, selected students will work closely with Dibor, immersing themselves in the company’s culture, learning their processes, and honing their skills. Throughout their engagement, these students can apply their newly acquired knowledge and expertise to create their own final piece, showcasing the growth and development achieved during their time at Dibor.

Astrea Academy Dearne has been the first school to embark on this remarkable journey with Dibor. Over the course of the project, Dibor has visited the school twice, and now, it’s time for the students to witness the inner workings of Dibor by visiting their premises. During this visit, the students will be given an exclusive tour, gaining insights into the daily operations, and witnessing the dedication of the Dibor team.

They will also engage with industry professionals, ask questions, and even try out some of the equipment firsthand.

Sameer Sharma, Directors of Dibor, said: “We are incredibly proud to contribute to the Shaping Futures project in partnership with Astrea Academy Dearn, and be involved with a leading local education provider in our region.

“By opening our doors and providing students with firsthand experiences of the work culture at Dibor, we hope to ignite their passion, inspire their creativity, and give them a taste of the practical skills needed to succeed in their future careers.

“It is our privilege to contribute to the growth and development of the next generation of workers, and we are excited to see the final pieces they create as evidence of their experience with us.”

Catherine Carruthers, National Careers Leader for Astrea Academy Trust said, “We’re thrilled that Dibor is involved with Astrea Academy Trust’s Shaping Futures project at The Dearne. This meaningful alternative to traditional work experience is allowing our students to discover more about careers that they might never have heard of. We cannot thank Dibor enough for the part that they have played in this and would love to welcome other businesses on board next year.”

Matthew Stephens, Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber President, said: “As the President of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber, I am delighted to commend Dibor for their remarkable Shaping Futures project.
