Major Recruitment establish base in South Yorkshire

One of the newest members of the Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce is Major Recruitment as they have set themselves up in South Yorkshire for the first time.

Major are a national recruitment agency with over 30 branches and a further 30 equity partners operating under independent brands. With this huge network of expertise, they can offer high level assistance with recruitment across any industry.

Manager of the South Yorkshire branch, Wayne Henshaw said ‘We are one of the country’s largest recruiters and we have partnerships with blue chip companies across the UK. We asked Wayne, what had brought about the creation of the South Yorkshire team, ‘I have been in recruitment for around 12 years now and within my team we have a lot of expertise for transport and logistics, industrial and warehousing as well as retail and office staff. We identified that South Yorkshire and the Sheffield City Region needed more focus within the Major family so have created a branch that can dedicate itself to this area’

Upon joining the Chamber as members, Wayne and his Senior Consultant, Connor Clarke have made it clear that they want to develop as many partnerships as they can in the region. Connor and Wayne were both previously with The Best Connection and feel strongly about the way Major represent their clients, Connor said ‘Having worked for other agencies, it is a breath of fresh air to be working for such a forward thinking company as Major Recruitment.
